Monroe County Reassessment is Underway

An ongoing county-wide property reassessment project is happening here in Monroe County for the first time since 1989. The county is contracted with Tyler Technologies Inc., of Dayton Ohio, to provide detailed high-resolution, street-level images of properties.

Tyler Technologies field staff will photograph properties from customized white vans that will be clearly marked with signs indicating that they are conducting an imaging project for the county.

This imaging project will continue over the next several weeks through the end of October or beginning of November.

13th Annual Lukie’s Fall Festival

Lukie’s Festival is a fun and entertaining day, where families can come and have a great time together, treasuring those sweet everyday moments, while helping to raise money for Cure SMA to help find a cure for spinal muscular atrophy.

Lukie's Fall Festival was founded in memory of Luke Anthony Joseph Maida who passed away from Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type I at 5 months 26 days old. As a memorial to beloved "Lukie" and to continue his fight, his family decided to host "Lukie's Fall Festival." An annual event to raise awareness and funds to help find a cure for this deadly disease, SMA.

There will be food, games, raffles, live music, entertainment, pie eating contest, kid's costume parade, face painting, hay rides, clowns, balloons, mini golf, historic carousel, pumpkins, bake sale, sand art, fire and safety program, and family fun for everyone!
