House Bill 858, PN0972 (Brown), authorizing certain financial institutions to conduct savings promotion programs; and providing for enforcement by the Department of Banking and Securities. There will be an agreed to Amendment

House Bill 1769, PN2360 (Mackenzie), amending the Charitable Gift Annuity Exemption Act to define “de-risking annuity contract”.

Senate Bill 903, PN1258 (Mensch), amending the act of October 16, 1996 (P.L.712, No.127), known as the Charitable Gift Annuity Exemption Act, further providing for definitions.  This is the companion bill in the Senate to House Bill 1769.

House Bill 1439 (Kaufer) Amends Title 40(Insurance) requiring certification of compliance by an insurer with federal and state law governing mental health parity.

House Bill 1696 (Murt) amends Insurance Company Law (Act 284 of 1921) to require insurers to conduct analyses and ensure availability to the Insurance Department detailing mental health parity compliance.

  • SB 332 (Stefano) – Amends Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) to raise the service charge cap imposed by a merchant on bad checks.
  • SR 49 (Street) – Urges the President and the Congress to enact H.Res. 1595 to remove the obstacles preventing financial institutions from providing banking services to cannabis-related businesses operating under state law.
  • HB 195 (Nelson) – Amends Title 40 (Insurance) to allow pharmacies the ability to synchronize multiple medication fill dates, by prohibiting insurers from denying coverage for prescriptions on the basis that it is a partial fill.
