Student from 40th District Begins Internship with Lt. Governor

Monroe County Good Scout Award honors local residents
This week the Boy Scouts in Monroe County honored two local residents for their commitment to the values and ideals of Scouting. The Good Scout Award was awarded to Alan Lippincott and the Distinguished Citizen Award was given to Chuck Hannig. Congratulations to both recipients and thank you for your continued service in developing our future leaders.

United Way of Monroe County Honors Several Local Individuals
Congratulations to all those honored this week at the United Way’s Campaign Appreciation Event. Awards were given to Sanofi Pasteur (Campaign Chair Award), Constance Yuhasz (Clifford R. Gillam Award), Sharon Laverdure (Evelyn Frederick Community Service Award), and Virginia Kirkwood (Spirit of Caring Award). Thank you all for your continued commitment to the United Way and community service.
Good luck…..to all the young hunters taking part in this Saturday's annual youth spring turkey hunt. Please remember all participants must be accompanied by an adult. Hunting hours during the youth hunt end at noon. Junior hunters and mentored youth may also participate in the statewide spring gobbler season, which takes place next Saturday, April 30.
