West End Korean War Veteran Honored
West End Korean War veteran, Pasquale Coppola, received a few tokens of appreciation on behalf of the US Army's 296th Brigade Support Battalion (formerly known as the 296th Transportation Truck Battalion), in which Mr. Coppola served during the Korean War.
I was honored to present him with a US Flag that was flown over the Pentagon as well as commemorative Battalion coins from the Army. Mr. Coppola currently runs a small shoe repair business called Pat’s Shoe Repair.

Retire your American Flags with Dignity on Flag Day
Do you have an American Flag ready to be retired? Flag Day is June 14, when we commemorate the adoption of the official United States flag. When a flag becomes worn or tattered, it is to be “retired” with dignity and respect, usually as part of an official flag retirement ceremony.
In honor of our nation’s flag and the principles and freedoms it
embodies, I invite you to bring your worn American flags to one of my
two district offices:
We will make sure all flags have the proper retirement ceremony with dignity and respect.
Congratulations, Eagle Scouts
